12/28/2020 3 Comments AT YEARS END...This past year has, without a doubt, been one of the most challenging for most of us. And, for OCBPC it brought some circumstances that were definitely a challenge! COVID-19 brought changes to how we worked, and interacted with each other, and how we engaged with our community.
In July we needed move all of our birds to our new facility that wasn’t complete. It was scary, and right in line with the rest of the year. But, what initially terrorized us, ended up being an opportunity! We completed our move, and were able to adapt our work to thrive in upside down times. The move was a blessing, and we couldn’t be happier. As we think of everything the past year brought, we are humbled to know that we could not have done any of this without YOU! Our supporters, our advocates, our volunteers. People who care, and see themselves as part of something bigger than any one of us individually. YOU all made what could have been a most terrible year, a very successful year. A year that when we reflect, makes us feel full of gratitude and hope. Our new facility will be complete mid February 2021 with 9 rehabilitation mews, 2 keeper rooms, and 8 education ambassador mews. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! Wishing you a safe and joyous New Year! - OCBPC Board of Directors
