Every year OCBPC takes hundreds of raptors in crisis, heals them, and returns them to the wild. You can be a part of our work to restore injured raptors their freedom for only a small donation. If you choose to sponsor a bird, you will receive a personalized certificate and be notified once your bird is ready to safely be released back to its natural territory. When the time comes to experience this breathtaking release, you will don a glove, take some once in a lifetime photos with your bird, and actively release it back to the wild.
Experience their highly anticipated flight of freedom up close!
All support helps these birds return to the wild, if you aren't able to sponsor a bird at this time there are other helpful options that will aid our rehabilitation efforts.

SPONSOR A BIRD$200, $100, $50 options
Your donation provides medical care and food to a rehabilitating bird to aid in returning the injured bird to the wild. A certificate will be mailed to you denoting the bird sponsored. We will contact you a few days in advance to either attend or release your sponsored bird (requires a phone number and email address). Selection and sponsorship of an individual species does not guarantee actual release of requested species. Substitutions may occur based on availability at time of release. OCBPC also has several "permanent resident birds" that are non-releasable and require continual support. These birds are foster parents for young birds and education ambassadors. If you would like to sponsor their continuing care instead of a releasable bird, please e-mail [email protected].

VOLUNTEER
OCBPC relies upon its volunteers to support all of the Center's work. We have roles for every ability: daily/weekly maintenance, fundraising, publicity, and education. We work hard and are a great group of volunteers that have fun together!
In order to Volunteer with OCBPC, you must attend an orientation and be at least 15 years of age. We have our New Volunteer Orientation once a year in November. Last year, 2020, our meeting was cancelled due to COVID. In 2021 we will be having an orientation on May 15. After your orientation, you will need to commit to 6 hours/month (2 Saturday morning cleanings) for the first 6 months to ensure that you are adequately trained on working in mews.
If you meet these requirements and are interested in applying to be a volunteer please proceed to fill out the following form. We will send you an email upon receipt of your request and will follow up with you in July and October. If you would like to participate sooner (or are unable to commit to our requirements), please consider supporting through sponsorship.
